Welcome to the Rover 800 Owners Club Website
Preserving Rovers Flagship
It’s official – the first dedicated Owners Club of the Rover flagship, the 800 series. As 800 owners, enthusiasts and members of the Club it is our wish to preserve these beautiful luxury and sports vehicles for our own enjoyment and for future owners.
The Club caters for all derivatives of the Rover 800 Series and as a member you are a part of an initiative to ‘Preserve the Flagship’. In addition to enjoying access to a wealth of technical and production information you can bring your 800 series along to many events. In fact, this is one of the primary reasons for the owners clubs existence with an emphasis placed on promotion of the 800 series at shows and events across the country. You can be certain of a busy calender in 2016, the 30th anniversary of the Rover 800.
Now 30 years since its introduction, the 800 is becoming a rare sight on the roads. Fortunately enthusiasm for the marque is on the increase. This was evident in November at the Lancaster Classic car Show (NEC Birmingham) and the official launch of the owners club. Over the weekend, we met with many 800 series owners, both past and present many of whom were eager to sign up with the Rover 800 Owners Club.

As has been customary over the last few years the Enthusiasts have hosted an event the day after the fantastic Pride Of Longbridge. In previous years this has always taken place at Ragley Hall. However, this year we are pleased to announce that the British Motor Museum at Gaydon has agreed to host The Enthusiasts’ Annual Ensemble. As usual, any and all MGR varieties of vehicle are welcome..as are related vehicles!
The Rover 800 Owners Club has been asked to send a small number of cars to display, please contact us if you wish to display your vehicle.
* The day will start at 10.00am and finish at 4.30pm
Additional attractions will be announced as and when they are confirmed.
COST: The 75&ZT Enthusiasts are requesting a £5.00 donation per car to go towards club funds. This will entitle the driver and any passengers to park in the 75&ZT Enthusiasts’ reserved area (provided you are amongst the first 150 cars) and also entry to the museum for the discounted price of £9.00 per person instead of £14.00.

April 22, 2018 –
The Visitor Centre at T Building at MINI Plant Oxford will be open between 10.00am and 4.00pm for Drive It Day and to celebrate the 50 years of British Leyland. There is ample parking outside for everyone.
This is for everyone, classic car owners and local people. Past and present Cowley workers are particularly welcome.
Classic vehicles of all descriptions are welcome, not just Cowley related ones.
This is free for all to attend. Classic car owners are very welcome to drop by as part of Drive It Day and have a cuppa. There will be free refreshments for all, and there will be a donation box for Macmillan Cancer Support, MINI Plant Oxford's charity, for those who would like to make a small donation. As we are celebrating 50 years of British Leyland, and 70 years of the Morris Minor, we will also be having cake!
We will be joined for part of the day by esteemed Rover author, James Taylor. James has just written book which is a car-by-car look at British Leyland, 1968-1986 and is due out in March 2018. James will be very happy to sign any of his books which you have and would like to bring along.
I can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07929 868284, should you have any questions.
Hope to see you there!
